Landed in Indianapolis early this morning. I probably got about 3 hours sleep last night, therefore I slept the whole flight ( although I could have used some more since I was nudged awake by my teammate. LOL ). But knowing My “Day of Wellness” was later in the day I felt energized once I walked off the plane. Today was the second-annual TSBDOW. This has to be one of my favorite things to do, pamper women who don’t get pampered much, give them a day to relax and forget any troubles they may be dealing with. All women deserve a little time for themselves, … a little ME time. I’m a big fan ME time 🙂
Caring for the women who reside at the local shelter, we provided haircuts, massages, manicures and pedicures courtesy of Natural Concepts. As well Kroger was a big help by providing a fruit platter and beverages which the women thoroughly enjoyed … I mean really enjoyed cause nothing was left on the plate when we were done. LOL
I had so much fun today, and it would not have been possible without the staff at Natural Concepts, they were amazing. As well as the Kroger family who beautifully put a display together that was beyond what they had to do. And finally, my teammates who donated clothing, the women were so thankful, they walked away genuinely happy.

The smiles that the women walk away with are priceless, and the reason I will continue to do these days. Can’t wait to do the next one.

Thank you for allowing our staff from Natural Concepts be a part of this day. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and helping the women enjoy their day of pampering and hope to be able to volunteer our services again next time! My 6 year old son even went home that evening to get together a bag of toys that he wanted to donate to the center because he said the kids didn’t have a lot to play with. Again, thank you for allowing us to participate.
Awwwww so cute…. But no, thank you guys for all that you did, the day was a success because of you all. I’m grateful and yes I’m sure we will do more stuff in the future again … See u at the spa tomorrow 🙂
